Mountains in the Himalayas are not only for extreme mountaineers. Many of our clients are simply lovers of outdoors who want to add little extra of adventure in their trip; and are first timers. Many of the trekking peaks are not technical in terms of difficulty. They are climbed without the help of supplementary oxygen. Good physical condition and sense of enjoying adventure activities will enhance you to enjoy the mountains. Anyone who are able to hike daily 5-8 hours for couple of weeks, are not afraid of snow and can follow the very simple instructions of our climbing guide and sherpas qualify for an expedition to trekking peaks.
Mountaineers do regular exercise. Aerobic activities such as running, swimming, dancing, cycling, cross country skiing, hiking up and down, etc. are the popular exercises to be fit for a hike or climb. We suggest you to involve in such activities at least from 3 months ahead of your trek/climb in the Himalayas.

To ensure that expedition group follows the rules, it's due to deposit US $ 250.00 dollar (equivalent to euro, pound or Australian dollar) at NMA office before commencing your expedition. This deposit will be refunded after certifying that the expedition team has followed the environmental code during the trip.

Travel Insurance:

Travellers coming into Nepal for trekking, mountaineering or other adventure trips are strongly requested to have their travel insurance from home which should cover the emergency evacuation from the remote areas. The remote areas of Himalaya where most trekking area and peak lay lack of any medical facilities or transport. So, to have insurance with coverage of emergency evacuation is a must.

Climbing Difficulty Grading:

We have graded the level of difficulty of each peak but it's not recognized by any universal institution. It's yet to figure out the difficulty of climbing in each peak. Our grading is based in experience of our previous clients and our own observations.
